A contractor that thinks like a design team.
Azure was founded in 2020 on a simple observation: clients were paying a design studio for intent and a contractor for execution, and carrying the gap between them alone.
Before founding Azure, Mahmoud Ashraf spent twelve years in senior roles across fit-out and construction in Egypt — first on the design side, then leading delivery for retail and commercial programmes. That experience of sitting on both sides of the table shaped the company: a contractor that reads drawings the way a designer does, and a design team that knows what a site needs on a Thursday afternoon.
Today Azure is a team of designers, engineers, project managers and site professionals working remotely and on site across Egypt, based in Cairo. We are strongest in retail fit-out, increasingly appointed for offices and F&B, and building the in-house engineering capability to take on larger and more complex commercial projects — always under one responsibility.
What we hold ourselves to.
Ownership
The outcome is ours, not the scope line. If it is on the project, it is our problem to solve.Precision
Resolved at the joint, not in the meeting. Details are checked before they are built.Integrity
One programme, one budget, and the truth about both — early.Resourcefulness
Tight programmes, moving landlords, long lead times. We find the way through.Four disciplines, one team.
Design
Interior designers and technical draughtsmen who turn intent into buildable drawings.
Engineering
MEP and structural engineers coordinating services before they clash on site.
Site
Project and site managers, HSE and QA — the people on the floor every day.
Commercial
